Newly implemented is multi-sine excitation into our VibControl shaker control systems. This test mode allows you to simultaneously sweep up to 10 sine tones at different levels across the desired frequency range. A typical sweep rate is 1 octave/min. for all sine frequencies. The sine tones are independent from each other and have their own digital tracking filters allowing for precise, fast control. They can be switched on/off individually.
Multi-sine: 10 sine sweeps in parallel
Multi-sine excitation is a new technique which has its seeds in the German automotive industry. The objective was to largely reduce the costs and time of durability tests: For example, if you need 100 hours for a standard sine sweep test, the test duration will be reduced to 20 hours with five sine tones performed in parallel.

The Ethernet-based cube I/O chassis from United Electronic Industries is ideally suited for a wide variety of industrial, aerospace and laboratory data acquisition and control applications. The small 3-slot cube only measures 4” x 4.1” x 4”, its “big” brother provides slots for 6 I/O boards and is 5.8” high. For larger applications compact, rugged I/O racks are available.

Noise is an important factor in the development and deployment of wind turbines. Korea Institute of Energy Research purchased m+p international’s SO Analyzer for measuring and analyzing the noise produced by the wind turbine power generators at its test site in Gangwon province, South Korea. Testing is fully compliant with IEC Standard 61400-11 second edition.
