High-Channel Count Vibration Control and Time Domain Recording System

VibExec is m+p international’s next generation for advanced vibration testing when high channel counts are required. It supports the VibControl Software for sine, random, shock as well as transient capture applications. All VXIbus modules are based on high-precision hardware components made by Bustec. With 32 input channels in a single VXIbus slot, the system can support up to 384 channels for control, notching and measurement purposes in a 13-slot VXIbus mainframe. Optionally, VibExec enables continuous time data recording directly to the hard disk – at a constant bandwidth which is equal to or higher than the control frequency range.

Thanks to the modular, flexible concept we also provide VibExec solutions where only a few dozen input channels are required. The maximum sampling rate is 108 or 216 kSamples/sec depending on the selected A/D converter function card. With this high sampling rate VibExec is also ideally suited for transient capture applications (pyroshocks).

The A/D converter function card provides ICP® and voltage signal conditioning as well as TEDS support for automatic front-end setup. The two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces provide significantly reduced cabling costs and greater flexibility for installations requiring a remote shaker location.

For continuous time domain recording the data is directly stored on two 250 GB hard disks. VibExec records this data at a constant bandwidth which is equal to or higher than the control frequency range. By using the hard disks in a parallel way, there are higher transfer rates possible than those of the single drives - and even with a higher security.

Vibration control and simultaneous gap-free data recording in one system ensure a high test efficiency and minimise the equipment (no data recorders required) for high-channel count testing.
