SO Analyzer 3.1 Released
The Perfect Engineering Tool for Noise and Vibration Applications
The new SO Analyzer revision 3.1 provides sine reduction incl. an excellent COLA tracking filter,
an advanced order tracking filter for rotating machinery analysis, new source modes on both
National Instruments and VXI Technology source hardware, a sound card replay tool, MATLAB 7
compatibility, 3D chart calculator, 32-bit support of VT1432B VXI card, support of VT2216 VXI
throughput disc, extended functionality in Pass-by-Noise testing, and lots more.
The SO Analyzer is m+p international's versatile real-time analyzer for noise and vibration measurement, analysis and reporting in the field and in the laboratory. It is scalable and offers modules for signal processing, modal analysis, impact testing, rotating machinery and pass-by-noise testing. Within one application, the SO Analyzer allows you to import data from more than 20 different standard N&V formats, do real-time data acquisition, analyse results and create reports.
A few of the more major additions are:
- Sine reduction is used to add additional or independent monitoring channels to a shaker vibration test or resonance search. It offers log & linear “sweep” modes and an outstanding COLA tracking filter. Available for online and offline (post-processing) applications.
- An advanced order tracking filter analysis is now available for rotating machinery analysis. It handles noisy RPM changes such as found on typical automotive engine run-up applications.
- The SO Analyzer 3.1 supports several additional source modes both on National instruments and VXI Technology source hardware: swept sine, chirp, periodic random and arbitrary. Multiple sources are supported in each case e.g. for MIMO testing.
- The 2D chart now includes a replay tool that plays the displayed time record to the sound card.
- Support for the new VT1432B 24-bit ADCs has been added.
- The user can now choose the VT2216 VXI internal SCSI throughput disc for high-speed time history recording in large channel-count and high sampling frequency applications.
- A new data cut tool has been added to the 3D chart that creates data “cuts” along x, z or order cursor lines including band rms and peak centred on the cursors.
- MATLAB 7 compatibility and export of multiple measurements.
- Pass-by-Noise testing: measurement list function and extended reporting.
- New filter options including notching and Bessel filters.
- Measurement control from user programming and external ActiveX.
This update is of course free to all our customers with current maintenance contracts.
