| 1. Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab Contract Awarded to m+p international | |||||||
|
Johns Hopkins APL in Laurel, Maryland recently awarded m+p international of Verona, New Jersey a contract for a 192-Channel Data Acquisition and Analysis System and a 64-Channel Vibration Control System. The contract also includes Modal Acquisition and Analysis, a Remote Analysis Station and distributed Multi-Monitor support. m+p international's 192-channel, VXI-based VibRecorder Data Acquisition and Analysis System offers sophistacted tools for online sine, random and shock data reduction. The data will be continuously recorded on two embedded VXI throughput disks of 73 Gbyte each guaranteeing gap-free recording. For online analysis, the data can be replayed from the embedded disks. The VibRunner, m+p international's proven Vibration Control and Analysis System based on VXIbus hardware technology and Windows NT/2000/XP operating system, will provide all control modes for all 64 input channels including random, sine (both with notching), shock, SRS, sine-on-random and random-on-random. Data analysis tools include extensive data handling and analysis, single and multiple data graphing, custom report formatting as well as seamless integration with Microsoft Office products for test reporting. Functionality will be further enhanced by m+p international's SmartOffice Modal Software Package for sophisticated modal acquisition and analysis. The VibRecorder Data Acquisition and Analysis System and the VibRunner
Vibration Controller have the same user interface translating to minimum
user training and maximum ease of use. Both are configured with remote
networked PC's for test setup and monitoring. The "Multi-Screen"
function supports several monitors for online display of large channel
counts; each monitor has its own default layout set-up file for easy set-up
of high-channel count tests. |

| 2. m+p international Upgrades Software for World's Largest Antenna Measuring Range in China | |||||||
|
The European space company Astrium and its subsidiary EurasSpace will deliver the world's largest antenna measuring range to China. The antenna measuring range simulates the geostationary satellites' distance of 36,000 kilometres from earth in a 30-metre-long measuring chamber, thus allowing to test functionality and performance of the satellite antenna in the laboratory. The system which is to start operation by the end of 2005 will be built at EADS Astrium in Ottobrunn, Germany. The Astrium antenna experts have sold more than one dozen of such antenna measuring ranges worldwide. EADS Astrium awarded m+p international a contract for the required software upgrade of the "AAMS Advanced Antenna Measurement System". The AAMS system comprises monitoring and control functions for the antenna set-ups, measuring data acquisition, processing, analysis as well as creation of graphical reports and test logs. In phase 1 of the contract, m+p international checks all modules of the AAMS software for their development state (reverse engineering) and writes the "to do" specifications. In phase 2, m+p international will upgrade the AAMS software according to these specifications. EADS Astrium, Ottobrunn has been an m+p international customer for many years. We would like to thank them for the close and reliable cooperation. If you would like to learn more about the world's largest antenna measuring
range, please click the EADS

| 3. m+p Continues Support of HP 3565S | |||||||
|
m+p international started supporting the HP 3565S in 1990 as the measurement front-end of the VCP 9000 Vibration Control System. Almost 15 years later m+p continues to support these customers. Thou parts have become rare m+p has been very flexible with customers wanting to change to VXI or VibPilot hardware platforms by allowing them credit for their existing HP 3565S. By building inventory in various HP 3565S components m+p has been able to continue responsive and quality support to customers operating VCP9000 and VCP_NT. | 4. Light Bulb Testing at Volkswagen | |||||||
|
For many years m+p international has already been a successful supplier
of environmental test and process monitoring solutions for several Volkswagen
facilities. Our services range from planning, implementation and installation
to full-operational support. At Volkwagen headquarters in Wolfsburg/Germany, m+p is in charge of the
light bulb test stand: 100 lamps are checked in parallel for their service
life in permanent and in blinking operation. The complete lamp test also
includes luminous flux measurements and a 20-hour-vibration test using
our VibControl shaker controller. Only if the lamps pass these |
