1. Online and Parallel Throughput Processing for Random, Sine, Shock and Acoustic DataThe VibRecorder is m+p international's data acquisition and analysis system based on Agilent's VXIbus hardware technology and MS Windows NT/2000/XP operating system. It provides online and parallel throughput processing for random, sine and shock data. The throughput function allows users to record all channels continuously in the time domain on the embedded VXI disk - irrespective of the channel count and the frequency range utilized. With the simple addition of m+p international's SmartOffice software modules, VibRecorder will also provide online and parallel throughput processing for acoustic data.

2. VXI Technology Acquires Agilent Technologies' Mechanical Data Acquisition ProductsAgilent Technologies, our partner for high-quality VXIbus-based data acquisition systems for many years, and VXI Technology announced an agreement for VXI Technology to acquire Agilent’s mechanical data acquisition product segment within its test and measurement business. Agilent, spun off from Hewlett Packard Company in 1999, said it is divesting this product segment as part of an overall effort to redefine its strategic focus. VXI Technology, headquartered in Irvine, California, is a global supplier of modular VXIbus test systems. The company possesses excellent ressources for the development, sale and support of sophisticated signal analysis solutions. Many Agilent employees will be employed by VXI Technology assuring the product expertise and long history in this market will continue. VXI Techology will not only be responible for the sale of the acquired Agilent products, but will present interesting new noise and vibration products in the immediate future. m+p international plans to continue support of these products. You, our customers, who work with m+p international products based on Agilent VXIbus hardware, can expect innovative and powerful system solutions. Of course, all Agilent products will be fully supported by m+p international and our new partner VXI Technology – from sales to support and service. There will be no changes in the quality you have come to expect from m+p international and Agilent Technologies. We look forward to new leading edge VXIbus products and our cooperation with VXI Technology! Please visit www.vxitech.com for information on VXI Technology inc.You will find a joint press release from Agilent Technologies and VXI Technology at http://www.agilent.com/about/newsroom/presrel/2003/26mar2003a.html.For any questions, please contact your local m+p international sales office: mpi@mpide.de(Europe and Asia) or sales@mpina.com (USA and Canada).

3. Multi-Channel Transient Recorderm+p international's TransRecorder is a multi-channel transient recorder featuring a 800 kSA/s sample rate. Based on the 4-channel Agilent E1564A VXI digitizer, which allows input ranges of up to 256 V, a VXI mainframe and an IEEE-1394 FireWire interface card system, configurations of up to 48 channels are supported. The data can be stored on the on-board memory of up to 128 Mbytes. The transient recorder is ideally suited for recording and analysing electronic and mechanical transient waveforms in manufacturing test, product development and engineering research. This also applies to environments with high levels of electrical noise, requiring particularly good common mode noise rejection. Applications include underwater acoustics, pyroshock and jet-engine testing.
