3. Comprehensive Analysis and Reporting for
Agilent's 35670A Analyzer

The Agilent 35670A 2- or 4-channel portable FFT dynamic signal analyzer is now supported
by m+p international's SmartOffice software. Once imported into SmartOffice's e-Reporter,
the data measured with the 35670A analyzer, either in the field or in the lab, can be displayed
and analyzed. The e-Reporter offers many convenient reporting features, for instance you
can copy and paste all obtained graphical results into ActiveX compliant applications such as
Microsoft Word or PowerPoint for richer and more comprehensive reports. Repetitive tasks
can be automated using a Visual Basic-compatible programming language. The software
package also includes a step-by-step approach to create a geometry model of the unit under
test for operating deflection shape analysis.

4. 96-Channel Data Acquisition System

Orbital Sciences of Dulles, VA recently awarded m+p international a contract for a
96-channel Data Acquisition & Analysis System to be utilized for spacecraft and satellite
testing. The contract requires on-line processing, simultaneous digital recording and
post-processing of vibration, shock and acoustic data for 96 channels with expansion plans to
over 128.

The VibRecorder, m+p international's data acquisition and analysis system based on
Agilent's VXIbus hardware technology and MS Windows NT/2000/XP operating system will
provide on-line and parallel through-put processing for Random, Sine, Shock and Acoustic
data. The system is configured with two 73 gigabyte through-put disks guaranteeing gap-free
recording. Advanced Data Analysis tools include m+p international's Smart Office Post
Processing Wizards for random, sine, shock and acoustic data with Smart Office e-Reporter
providing seamless integration with Microsoft Office products for test reporting. With the
simple addition of Smart Office software modules the system can be easily configured for
modal work.

5. Titan Mission Helped by m+p international's Force Limiting Controllers

Terry Scharton from Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA describes the variety of
sophisticated testing undertaken on the Cassini Huygens spacecraft destined for Saturn's
largest moon, Titan. As well as a wealth of technical details there are some great pictures of
the testing in progress.
