1. Release of SmartOffice Revision 2.5

SmartOffice is m+p international's versatile platform for noise and vibration measurement, analysis and reporting. It is scalable and offers modules for signal processing, modal analysis, impact testing, rotating machinery and pass-by-noise testing. Within one application, SmartOffice allows you to import data from more than 20 different standard N&V formats, do real-time data acquisition, analyse results and create reports – in the field, in the lab and in the office.

Revision 2.5 introduces several new capabilities to our software, a few of these are:

  • Acoustic Intensity analysis for quickly locating and mapping noise sources and accurately determining the sound power level regardless of the background noise. Measurements can be made in almost any environment without requiring special, expensive equipment such as an anechoic chamber. SmartOffice displays the distribution of the acoustic intensity in 2D and 3D color contour maps.
  • Stepped Sine is an add-on to the SmartOffice modal data acquisition. It offers single frequency excitation for accurately measuring the frequency response functions of structures under particularly tough conditions (e.g. nonlinearities).
  • Improved batch mode for post processing.
  • Storage of synthesized FRFs in the MDOF wizard for modal analysis.
  • Support of the new OROS OR3X data format.
  • Addition of complex averaging and RMS averaging methods to general data acquisition.
  • Implementation of the peak hold averaging function into both the general data acquisition wizard and the post-processing wizard.
  • ODS animation using complex order spectra.

This update is of course free to all our customers with current maintenance contracts.
