Acoustic Analysis

The SO Analyzer provides tools for online and offline real-time octave analysis.

The Acoustic Intensity Analysis option quickly locates noise sources and accurately determines the sound power level regardless of the background noise. Measurements can be made in almost every environment without requiring special, expensive equipment such as an anechoic chamber. The acoustic intensity is measured with two microphones placed opposite of each other, at defined distance apart. The SO Analyzer displays the distribution of the acoustic intensity in 2D and 3D colour contour maps.
